Ive seen so many people ask for links to get older versions of aim so i am going to post some.
I updated my site with every single Aim Version i could find. The links on my site are all linked too the AOL ftp downloads. I just made a page to sort them all out.:
http://www.geocities.com/foleyo222/aimversions.html
Theres also athese if you want a smaller list:
http://www.aimfilez.com
http://oldversion.comNote: I removed Plaztick.has.it because all they were doing was listing direct downloads to aimfilez.com…

July 21, 2003 at 5:51 am #93207TracerMemberHere is where AOL stores all the versions of AIM… have fun…
July 21, 2003 at 6:45 am #93214Someguy03MemberThanks, if you find any more keep us posted. Alot of these sites dont have all the versions, im trying to get all of them down to the testing ones. Tracer, ftp://ftp.newaol.com/aimgen/73010/ is pretty confusing and it is almost impossible to find a version of anything because it also includes many other files besides the aim download.
August 3, 2003 at 5:56 pm #93219righthandsayshiMemberJust a question, I am not new to AIM just new to trying to get into it and use it other then just for talking to friends, but why exactly would you want an older version of AIM?

but why exactly would you want an older version of AIM?Well, for me… older AIM versions are a lot better than the newer ones, they don’t take up a lot of spaces and less buggy. Of course, it is what I think but I no longer use AIM itself, because AOL made ICQ/AIM available for people like me. 🙂
August 3, 2003 at 6:29 pm #93213Someguy03MemberOlder versions of aim are for diffrent programs that dont work with 5.0 and up, Aim+ is a good example. And like brian said, its like winamp, the older versions are smaller and are less buggy.
larger program = more features It depends on what matters to you more, space or cool options.
August 3, 2003 at 6:31 pm #93218righthandsayshiMemberI see, well at that makes sense. I was just wondering, like I said I am new to this whole thing.
August 14, 2003 at 5:56 am #93221darkc0neMemberAnd I think some of the older versions had HTML enabled,so that would make stuff like the f2 trick easier.Tho that can get old after a while..
but whatever floats your boat:)August 14, 2003 at 9:30 pm #93220westcostchopprsMemberhow is older better?
