Ok guys.. Which is the best firewall
May 12, 2004 at 5:07 pm #45253DJHyperbyteMemberiptables is the best firewall I’ve ever seen, without any doubt.
However, for your Windows system you might want to try Kerio Personal Firewall. Good luck!

Heres a good article/review on it. http://www.osnews.com/story.php?news_id=5897 It does require some networking knowledge but less knowledge than a full Linux install as it does all that work for you and is up and running very fast.

How do I know whether its a serious issue like some one trying to hack my computer or its just a network connection ?

I dont like it much though. It would always crash and screw up my internet. Tiny Personal Firewall looks promising. I like the simplicity of it. Doesnt have that pretty GUI like Norton and ZoneAlarm do.
