Yeah, I see what you mean, most of the HP laptops have gotten bad reviews because they heat up quickly, like you said most likely poor ventilation in the design.
I know I said that I would probably purchase the Emachines one, but I think I may lower my price range to $1200 and less.
So my question is, does anyone know how this laptop performes?

AVERATEC Notebook 6130H1 Intel Pentium 3.0The battery doesnt need to be too long, because I will probably need 2 hours at most with it plugged in when I can reach an outlet. Im not very concerned about playing games anymore, because if I do get one it will be used mostly for getting work out of the way during lunch. Such as compiling, running photoshop, and *maybe* some 3dsmax work.
