Of the PlayStation 3, Xbox360, and Wii, which do you currently own?
June 12, 2007 at 11:06 am #161956PhilipModeratorI do play video games, but only on my computer.
June 12, 2007 at 9:54 pm #161951AwesomeSauceParticipantLast Christmas I got a Wii, and it’s an all-around good system.
I want an Xbox 360, as it has a good library and good online support, but… it’s too dang expensive. As with pretty much all video games these days. If I was rich I’d buy one.
Hahah, PS3. Yeah, right, like I want one of those.
So, as I’ve said, video games are way too expensive these days. If I were to buy a PS3 along with one game, that’s 700 bucks right there. However, if I really wanted the bad textures and the jaggy graphics to stand out, I guess I would have to blow a couple grand on a big new 1080p HDTV, right? Heck, how about a surround-sound system along with it. (Who the hell…?)
Really though, when I’m older, and I have a good job, then I guess I’ll be able to afford these things.
I kind of want a DS Lite, you know, for when I’m away from home. Those things are sexy.
I don’t own a lot of Wii games, simply because 50 bucks is too pricey. As for the 360 and PS3.. ehh, I don’t even wanna go there.
*Sigh* Does anyone wanna play frisbee with me or something? I love those things.

Unless you have kids. 😉

I might get a 360…
But for now, I’ll just play video games at my friend’s house so I don’t have to buy a console! 😀June 16, 2007 at 8:27 pm #161954MrEggsaladParticipantFor me, I really just don’t play games all that much. If I do, I like them to be online and I hate to pay for stuff so Xbox Live is out. The PS3 just is too expensive for my tastes, and the Wii is good, but there just doesn’t seem to be games taking advantage of it’s unique gaming style. Even so, I probably wouldn’t play any of them that much anyways.

Obsession! *Twitch*
Really, there aren’t that many games out there, but the ones that are out are fantastic. Zelda:Twilight Princess is utterly amazing (and I’m at 55hours at the moment, and still haven’t gotten through the side quests).
Sonic is kinda worthless except for the multiplayer games.
Super Monkey Ball is addicting.
Super Paper Mario Brothers makes me positively moi… Ahem, it makes me happy. They threw in a great couple spins for the game.
Rayman is really fun.
I’ve rented Warioware, which is fun (single player though…)
How can anyone go wrong with Mario Party 8?
And…my new sick sick obsession is Trauma Center: Second Opinion. I rented it and ended up staying up until 6am playing it…without even realizing. It’s addicting.Plus, really, the good ol’ wiiplay and wii sports is always fun when you have people around.
I just hope it doesn’t suffer the same defeat that the gamecube had with a restriction of titles. The wii’s just too amazing to suffer the same demise.
July 2, 2007 at 2:06 pm #161946Jeff HesterKeymasterI’ve owned a Wii since launch day and only games I own are Zelda Twilight Princess and the packaged game Wii Sports. I haven’t had time to play much lately so I’m looking for a new game to get although I think I might save my money for something I really want (aka Smash Brothers) since I’m on a pretty tight budget at the moment.
July 2, 2007 at 6:35 pm #161950RabidKittenParticipantANT! *POUNCES*
Mario party 8 is some good fun. And thankfully the mentally disabled 4 year old I watch can play it as well.
Oh gawsh, smash brothers would be flippin’ awesome…*purr*
And Ant, you do realize that I’m adding your Wii to my console, right? *grin*
July 2, 2007 at 10:36 pm #161947Jeff HesterKeymasterHey Sammykins 😀
Gimme your number so I can add you too.
P.S. Long time no see! *hugs*
