Anyway I can find out if a friend that I have been conversing with on Yahoo has me blocked now? We are both always invisible. I send messages and normally there is a reply but now nothing. Just wondering. Thanks
On the positive side it may be that their messenger is acting up. I’d give it some time to see if you get a response. Unfortunately if you don’t hear back from them you may be blocked and there is no way of knowing – you just won’t ever hear from them.

i spent about 2 hours going thru this site and learning alot…
and there seems to be an answer for everything….
so just saying no can do….really just doesnt cut it for me….
i’ve been trying for about a week…
i know peeps go on vacation and all…
but I think I may have made this person mad….therefore the blockage…
just would really like to know…….
i hate not knowing….
ya know…..

i mean I like someone to tell me what I did wrong…
but I refuse to grovel and look like an idiot….
some people just prefer to go….

I’ve had this happened to me once or twice before – once a friend blocked me by mistake and another time he left his messenger open and his smartass sister blocked me.
Create a new Yahoo profile (Login / My Profiles) and try to IM using it. That usually gets through. If not, then you can always create a whole new Yahoo Login and then IM from there!

lxlther, please leave the moderating to the moderators. Your post added nothing to this topic, so who are you to judge others? I think we all know what peeps means so no need to talk down. And as for your 3rd point, what language? I see no offensive language at all in this entire thread.
I think it’s kinda freaky that Suzanne is stressin’ like this. Sounds like a stalker :O (not judging you, tho Suzanne).
Try going to a chatroom and send your “estranged friend” an invite. Or they may have iggied you by mistake, as someone else pointed out. Stop freakin’ out tho. Maybe that part of your personality made that person “block” you 😉As far as I have read here there’s no way of knowing if a person blocked you other than asking them. try sending an e-mail or contact them using another id.

I was curious so I downloaded this link. It looks like its an online status checker? Am I wrong? I don’t get how it could check to see if you are blocked. You can check anyone’s status simply by looking at their profile if they haven’t checked the “online status” box. Am I being dumb here?
hence the whole note on the page saying
NOTE:Enter any MSN Messenger account e-mail in the field above and press the “Check” button to find out if that person is online or offline. The butterfly image should change to one of the above status icons. If it shows the online icon and you’ve added the person to your contacts but he or she ISN’T listed as online, you can be sure you’re being blocked by him or her!
how does that work with YIM Busybyeski? and marriettelarkin you can check a box in your preferences to show or not show your status if ya want in yahoo , besides the only person that cant see you is the one who has you blocked right? if you harass they will block, I know I would
That’s the whole point I was trying to make. I didn’t check anything in MSN because this is a Yahoo forum and I know that you can check the box to not show your online status, so I don’t think it works in Yahoo if someone has that box checked.
