Ok i am sure this has been addressed, but i am new, so here goes. Is there any way to find out who has me on their buddy list?There is this one guy that is always messaging me, claiming i gave him permission very recently to put me on his(he is not on mine)Is there a way he could have put me on without me knowing?Also there is someone sending around a chain message claiming that there is a certain messenger that will tell you who the people on your buddy list are talking, to what their aliases are and etc……is this true??
No it’s not true, you cannot find out who is on someones buddy list without hacking the server. And most likely, you gave him permission without knowing it.

As far as this chain message, and it’s claims of a messenger that will tell you who the people on your buddy list are talking, to what their aliases are etc: I have not seen nor heard proof of this one actually existing no. In fact when I saw the post myself in a chat room of one who was spamming the info & a url I didn’t click on it because I know many users of yahoo use scams similar to this one (fake login screens is one example) to steal passwords and accounts. I searched google and found nothing on the net about this. I then searched Urban Legends and came up with nothing on the subject there either.

Yet another topic that needs to be covered in a FAQ. There is no sure fire way to know who has you on their friends list, but theres a few ways of checking this. 1. use this link, it removes your id from their friend’s list http://www.carbonize.co.uk/Yahoo/deny.html and if they still have you on their list, it will goto a white page that says Ok, if it says something else about an invalid cookie blah blah blah, then they didn’t have you added. Another way to check, is to put up some status on your messenger like “First person to message me wins a prize” an everyone will message you that is online and has you added, tell them it was a joke or are tryin to figure out who has you added. This guy could of secretly added you without you knowing, or you could of added him and forgotten about it. Or you could of accepted him adding you, but not added him.
It’s IMPOSSIBLE to see who anyone else is talking to, there was a program out to tell what people’s aliases were(if they were online), but yahoo patched it a lil while back, theres a few ways you can possibly figure them out though. It’s impossible to see someone elses friends list, unless you steal their password some how and login to their id. The admins can “ghost”(log your id in without your password)any id into messenger if they feel the need to, I have been logged off messenger before by an admin, but this is very very rare. I’m not sure if yahoo wants them to do this, or if one of them got bored and made a program that allows them to do it, one guy that isn’t an admin has the ability to do this, or at least he used to be able to, he used to harrass a few of my friends, he would login to one girls name and mess with her offlines, but he’s the only non-admin that i know who had this ability. There was a program out months back that allowed you to send an instant message cloning any id you wanted to, but you couldn’t receive the message back. Was funny when you would go into certain chat rooms, people would clone you and be very rude to the whole room, an you would get a lot of people pm’ing you that thought you had cussed them out lmao.If you get invalid cookie it means you need to login to browser. You will get another message if you don’t actually appear on their list.

First it takes you to the login page, once you have logged in, takes you to the deny page. That way you shouldn’t get invalid cookie.
