Hi … Is there any way to tell who the booter is ? I mean is there a way to find out who is doing the booting ? Thanks
Well I’m guessing there isn’t any program that can do what it is I’m asking , Well if I had the know how in making programs this would be one that I would consider making , just think of the cash one can make for such a program , I mean it doesn’t even have to be much $$$ and I bet still there would be good enough money to be made from such
Well my first question would be, Why are you trying to find out whos doin it? To get back at them? There really is no point. Booting is just a childish game. I suggest just changing ID’s until the booter has got bored and moved on.
For help and advice on how to prevent booting, or counter it, check here. However if you’re looking for a way to get back at a booter, then I’m afraid you will not find help here.
Hi … No its not to get back at the booter , I just figure if the booter knew that the person that he was going to boot knows how to find out who booted him , Then I would think that the booter wouldn’t boot that person , I mean if everyone was to know who booted them , Then I would believe that there wouldn’t be as many booter booting people , People seem to boot others because they can’t get caught but , if there was a way to know who the booter is ? I bet it would stop , at least most of them any ways
Fair enough. As far as I know though, there isn’t a way to accurately find out who the booter is. Check that thread I linked to in my previous post for advice relating to your problem though.

You can try using a packet sniffer to get the ID’s and whatnot of the booter, but a lot of times they use bulk ID’s that can’t be traced back to their real ID….aka bots.
Anyway you can still give it a shot:

When you get the program to start monitoring, make sure you have it set on Yahoo! Messenger. To test it have someone IM you and then pause the “sniffing” to scroll up and you will see their ID and message. Then leave it open until the booter strikes again, and once you’re kicked off you should pause the sniffing again and scroll up to see what ID’s did it.
