you know how people want a program that tells you who has you on their lists? will this ever be possible?
probably after aim adds an accept option when people add you to their list. and im hoping they will soon.
Like on MSN messenger, when someone adds you to their list, there will be a pop-up the next time you sign on, and it will tell you that someone has added you to their list. You can even choose to delete your screenname if you don’t know them. Well, that’s what I think he was talking about anyways….
That’s been on Yahoo! for what seems like forever, but there’s still no way to find out who has you on their lists. One way to find out is to put on your webcam with a fake message about doing something on the cam, then you find out all of the perverts who have you on their lists and start removing yourself from their lists.
One way you might possibly be able to see who has you on their buddylist is by signing up over @ http://buddyzoo.com/ It is a very neat website and allows you to upload your buddy list and see who has you on their buddy list.
i would HATE to have aim pop up an accept user dialogue — i’m one of the snoops who likes to have people on their list just to check up one them…or bfs ex-girlfriends, etc etc … AOL please don’t!:p
If you want to know who has you on their list, just select the ‘only allow users on buddy list’ in privacy settings. this will ensure that no one can check up on you unless they are on your list. I don’t really see a need for AIM to have this feature.
another problem with this is that occasionally I delete a screenname off my list, and then later realize I need them back on the list…. its just a hassle to go through, etc
although there are advantages to it too
