For some weird reason, I lose all Internet connection, (as well as everyone else on my home network) for a few minutes, when I visit a Top 100 user created website hosted by gotop100 . com . My connection is not effect by visiting the home page of gotop100 . com though.
I have contacted the owner of Go Top 100 and he asked me to talk to my ISP about it because he had never heard of that happening before and wouldn’t know what was causing it to happen.
This doesn’t happen with any other website I visit. 🙁
I’ve even visited their directory to be sure it wasn’t just one user created top 100 website that was causing it, and found that all of them do it.
Would anyone know why it is doing this, and how can I fix it?
Do I need to forward some ports on my firewall to make the sites work without me losing connection?
Thanks 🙂
Hmm, that’s strange. I tried going to Go Top 100 Free Hosted Top List System – Create Your Own Top Site for Free, browsed their directory and went to a few specific web sites; it was OK and my internet connection didn’t terminate.
I’m not sure whether it’s a port-forwarding problem or not (I seriously don’t think so) but maybe it’s a good idea to contact your ISP and ask them.
