Hi guys!I know that a couple of weeks ago i said that yahoo messenger 7.5 doesnt give me any problems but i no longer agree to my previous statement and even though i try to get “ajusted” with it,i keep reverting to version 7 and here’s why:
1 The user online/offline notifier box doesnt show when my Tv is maximized;
2 When i receive new IM’s the window is minimized if Tv is maximized;
3 When using Voice the microphone slide in my sound program keeps self-ajusting and it wont let me manage it and because of this the echo is alot stronger;
4 When changing my offline/online status for different groups and persons,the change takes alot of time to become active;
5 Along with that,it seems that somehow people i have set to see me offline,see me online nevertheless;
6 Some features like the little blue “call history” button are sometimes greyed out and othertimes not;
7 I have experienced more message loss with this version than with all previous ones.
Please note that i havent changed my usual settings from messenger 7 to messenger 7.5 so there’s no matter of missetting the program and that the problems i listed above never existed with yahoo messenger 7.
Now there might be some other glitches i’ve missed out or you might think that i’m too demanding, but nevertheless i am annoyed enough by these bugs to uninstall the 7.5 version and go back to the previous version.
I am opened to solutions and comments,but mostly to solutions,as i love progress and new,better things…And that being said,i’m looking forward to the next,hopefully improved version of Yahoo messenger 😀May 14, 2006 at 8:21 am #144381Eagle_KiwiMemberVery interesting stuff, Strigoi. :crying: 😉
Just one thing I MUST ask – was the version of 7.5 you used a “final” one (e.g. 7.5.0.811 or 814) ?
Because if any earlier (Beta) one then the bugs/quirks MAY have been fixed by 811.
(I’ve never any big probs myself, but I’ve heard at least one person suggest that 811 was more stable than some earlier Beta 7.5s).And by the way, just for the record, r u on XP-SP2 ?
