I really like Trillian. I think it’s a great Program, and it has many uses. But I don’t use it. Why? Because of the window sizes. I am not a big fan of tabbed windows, and the default window size is just too small for me. I don’t want to sound picky, but wow, it really gets on my nerves. So…if there is any way to make the window size method act more like that of AIM, I would like to know. Thanks.
With Trillian you can customize the size of everything, and use multiple different skins. The tabbed windows is an option, you don’t have to use it, or you can.
You meantion you wanted something the size of AIM, well there is a skin you can get from here: ThunderGFX – Trillian 0.7x Skins. (on the bottom of the page)
This skin make Trillian look exactly like AIM does, so if you want it to look like AIM, definatly get this. Or you can look around for different skins you may like.I know you can customize things, and I know about that skin, and every other skin.
Hmm…how should I explain this…
When I open a window for the first time in AIM, it’s a small square. I change the size to a large rectangle, and then all other windows I open will tile them using that size. Now, I need to know if there is a way to do that in Trillian, because I can either make windows go to their previous location, or I can use the default square window, and that is not good enough for me.

Wow, your a bit of a crybaby aren’t you. Well before you do us all a favor and hang yourself, why don’t you try the Trillian MCP (Multi Client Pack) it’ll let you skin Trilly and set it up just like AIM. Might fix your picky ass window size problem too.
In preferences go to windows->initial. Look at the bottom, you can change “size … by …” to whatever you want (in pixels). Works for all skins. 🙂
