Windows Messenger V5 and OE

Windows Messenger V5.0

I use Windows XP Home Edition SP1 and just today upgraded from Windows Messennger V4.7 to V 5.0 (5.00.482).

I use Outlook Express V6.0 (6.00.2800.1123).

When I was using Windows Messenger 4.7, I was able to see the Messenger’s list on the left hand pane of Outlook Express (together with my contact lists), but with V5.0 of Windows Messenger, the people on my Messenger list do not appear any longer in my Outlook Express.

1) Can some guide me how I can get my Messenger list appear as before on my Outlook Express.?

2) If above is no longer possible with V5, I’d like to switch back to Win Messenger V4.7. Can I simply re-install V4.7?

you can install windows messenger 4.7 simply uninstall 5 and go to add/remove components and uncheck messenger then go to next>> once its finished go back to the same place and re check the messenger and press next to reinstall 4.7
