i have just downloaded Windows XP Service Pack 2. And now whenever I start up my computer ‘my documents’ loads automatically which is very annoying. Is there any way of stopping this happeneing? I don’t know whether or not the service pack has anything to do with it, but it seems like my only explination.
Tools > Folder Options > View > Uncheck “Restore previous folders at windows logon.”
that option isn’t ticked…i tried ticking and unticking it again and restoring those options to default wth no luck. Any other suggestions?
Check if a shortcut to My Documents is in Start Menu -> Programs -> Startup
That would cause this to happen
Try Start > Run > “msconfig”
Go to the Startup tab and uncheck anything you don’t need. I would advise not to uncheck anything you arn’t sure about. If you are unsure, we can help with that.
