I have been experiencing tremendous problems with WLM 9.
But i have downloaded the official microsoft WLM 8 .
When i type to login it ask me to update my WLM. The thing is when i make the update as soon when finishes it does open when i click on the icon !
That after i do the restart.
I click several times and nothin it doesnt show up the WLM 8 window.
I do CTRL+ALT+DEL i see a bunch of msnmsgr.exe running on the processes !So how i can disable that automatic update ?
When you installed version 8 did you completely uninstall version 9 first? You need to totally remove it before downgrading. If you did, you should not be prompted for any upgrade, as 8.5 is the latest stable version.
I’m not sure if that will fix your problem or not, but at least if you can get 8.5 installed clean with no request for update, you can then see if you have any other issues with WLM.
Of course, if you happen to be running a 3rd party program with it, I’d certainly recommend uninstalling that as well and then when you have a good version of 8.5 you can reinstall again clean.
