MemberAnyone else having this problem?
I’ve used v.6, all the 7 betas, and always connected immediately. Now that I have upgraded to .426, I go to sign in and the messenger window goes white and stays that way for 2 minutes or longer before actually displaying my friends list, and once it does connect, the lower content section (launchcast radio by default) shows a “page cannot be displayed” error. I tried hiding the content tabs with no success.
I uninstalled the .249 beta before installing, deleted the prog files/Yahoo folder, cleaned the registry, have removed both my firewall and my router for testing purposes, tried all the connection options (no proxies, firewall with no proxies, etc), tried changing the host and socket servers in the registry, disabled my HOSTS file (MVPS Hosts) and the problem remains.
If I remove .426 and reinstall .249, I connect immediately and the content window loads fine.
I’m guessing that the issue boils down to the inability to load the content section. I’m a tech for a living, and for the first time I have to say I am totally stumped.
Any ideas or suggestions?

MemberNext release of YMessengerPlus (probably 1.7LK) not ready because Yahoo! change something between 7 Beta and final release…
Now, Messenger update and download “Cache” files (all XML file in Cache folder) anytimes you launch it. Because some users understood how to restore Chat* features (or other hidden function)… Just need to “crack” registry and these XML files.
(*) Hidden and disabled for France, UK, Germany, Italia, Spain, and Korea.
It’s impossible to manually fix these problem, and crack XML files now.
But fighting is not finished… YMessengerPlus 1.7LK will restore Chat for messenger 7… And perhaps I found how to speed up starting .oO(not tested) :op

MemberNot sure i understand what you are saying…Is it the downloading of these XML files, whatever they are for, that is causing the slow connect?
I have contacted Yahoo for help also, havent gotten a response yet.

MemberI’m still not sure I follow what you are trying to say…500k isnt a huge amount on a 4mb cable connection and shouldnt cause these issues…
