I am having a bit of trouble with Yahoo! Messenger….every time I try to run it, it immediately closes out after about 1 or 2 seconds of being open. If anyone has any light to shed on this, it would be much appreciated.
p.s i’ve tried different solutions like uninstall and then reinstall the program, i also deleted the cache folder etc but none of them work..can yall help me?
This has been addressed in other posts. The most common problem is a customizing program called Windowblinds. It changes the appearance of windows. It seems to not be compatible with Yahoo Messenger 7.
Hi stupidisasstupiddoes, thx 4 answering my post but i’m not using windowblinds. i do use another customizing program called StyleXP but it has never caused any problem with Y! Mess before (i’ve had StyleXP for a long time and the prolem with Y!M just started last week). any other idea?

I had similar problems..tryed uninstalling etc..i also didnt get offlines..i deleted user id and instantly signed up for the same id..had both windows open..for fear of loosing my favourite id name..now i have no problems at all…well so far..maybe its worth a shot?? Only problem is re adding ur contacts..but worth it to be rid of the other hassslesMost people have a customizing program only have problems when they start using the latest version of Messenger.
You will not lose your contacts, Yahoo saves them on their servers. Not your computer.
I am having the same problem and I am new at this computer stuff. Where do I find windowblinds and how do I uninstall it? Someone help PLEASE
