I had posted in a different one…but just noticed that it was an OLD subject…Oops..There’s the perks of being a N00b to Forums.
Hmm…I am fifteen…about to turn sixteen in in a few days…explains why my info says sixteen…Anyhow…this may seem to be a little bit of a n00bish approach to certain matters and subjects…but I am new to any Forum…I figured I’d start here…at the o’so wonderful BigBlueBall.com…why not, eh? Well i have been a Yahoo! user for quite some time now…I think…heh two years…not long but hey…I like to add to things…but back on what I was wanting to say…the version 5.5 has been great..until a day or two ago…I was chatting with a friend…and surfing NewGrounds…when I got disconnected…my reconnection went fine…BUT It said that my messenger was not responding…I gave up for a bit…and continued surfing…the next day I returned and it let me on…no problem…but that night..it would not let me on…same with last night…Today, it let me in…I went to check a different accout…keeping check on my little sister…making sure she isn’t doing anything “bad” it tells me, “Not Responding.” Now earlier I had read in a different Forum…that 5.5 does not support XP user…that really blows…to be quite blunt about the matter. I throughly enjoy using Y! programs…as have I since I first started using it. But here lately I have had all sorts of bad things…I cannot view Webcams…When I use my mic…despite hw loud I have the volume settings on it..People barely hear me…And then this problem arrived…I have never hd this much trouble wth any program…since XP would not reconize my MSN Chat cookie. Please…I seriously need to know how to fix these problems.

Yahoo Messenger is WinXP compatible.
I’ve noticed my friends (who also use WinXP), that haven’t upgraded from the beta version to the finalized version have been running into a LOT of problems.
“Not Responding”?
WinXP’s minimum amount RAM is 256 megs I believe. 256 can seem like a reasonably nice amount (if thats how much you have), but when yoiu have too many applications open – the “Not Responding” deal can happen. Don’t have as many apps open next time.Okay so my advice – Upgrade to the finalized Yahoo 5.5 n’ don’t have so many apps open all at once.
(ps. You can go back n’ delete your previous post by clicking on the lil’ trash can icon on it – if a moderator or admin hasn’t beat you to it already. )

I mean most the songs I listen to are 128 qaulity…not absolutely sure what that means…but hey. And again…I still can only login when it feels to let me…I mean I have the finalized version…I had to redownload like…yesterday or the day before because something was up..I have even tried Restart a few times….still no change in login…It has acted like it might want to…but at the last second…stop…and go blank…or just freeze with my buddy list half up.
Forums being the best way I can gain help…I would like someone to please point out a better alternative.
