each time i log in usin my yahoo messenger certain id’s get added to my list automatically …i keep on deleting them still it gets added i hav also added them to my ignore list still it happens …the main prob is tat ur address buk gets flooded ..plz some1 help me out !NOTE : the id’s not ask my approval so as to add them they get added dunno how
in order to under stand the problem better u guys better create a seperate id and add these id’s
“mattiasbatistuta” ,”rbharathi88″ and u’ll practically kno what my problem is …DONT ADD THESE ID’S TO UR PRIMARY OR PERSONAL ID AS IT MAY BUG U !You may want to use a program like “Deny-a-buddy” found the the Yahoo! FAQ and by doing a search here on BBB. Try removing YOURSELF from these names’ lists….see if that works…It must be terribly frustrating. Also, you may want to scan your PC for viruses, trojans and spyware to make sure there is not something else causing that to happen. Once you do that, you may also want to change your password just to be safe. 🙂 Good Luck
hey thanx dude ….let me try BBB ..but i hav scaned my whole pc with AVG which is up 2 date i also used windows defender but found nuthin in my pc wud u like to recommend any other tool to try ..
You can download a free version of Ad-AwareSE. and make sure you change your password to your account.
If you share your account or someone knows your password this is not a good thing.
If you share a computer make sure you always sign out of everything you sign into. yahoo mail – yahoo egroups -yahoo chat etc…
If you use a public computer and forgot to sign out this could leave your information open for anyone to hack into.
after scanning for spyware and viruses and changing your password and the problem still is present. I would either contact yahoo security or close out the account and open a new one.

This problem won’t be solved by Ad-Aware or any anti-virus. It’s specifically related to Yahoo Messenger.
Make sure your ignore list is set to “ignore anyone who is not on my Messenger list.”
I’m not sure how your address book gets flooded. I’m guessing that what you meant is that you get flooded with add requests. That setting should help.
I would also send an email explaining what’s happening to abuse@yahoo.com. Provide as many details as you can, including when the problem started, the usernames of the people flooding you with add requests, and what steps you’ve tried to stop them.
if u wanna practically kno wat the problem is add the above id;s to ur list and u’ll kno wat i actually say
the web address buk deletion doesn’t help also other 1 doesnt

hey dude still the prob is not solved i hav tried deleting the id;s frm web address buk also frm tat java chat…but in java chat i’m not able to delete a single id ! wat to do

Here you should again check for any virus activity on your system.

i tried deleting it frm web address buk still it gets added
in web messenger i am not able to delete even a single id ! some probs
wit the web service do some thin na:crying:Is there a way for you to post a screen shot of what is happening? Of course you would want to blank out YOUR ID and those that are trying to add you. But the screen shot would help us understand (perhaps 🙂 ) what exactly is happening to you. It’s just a thought.:)

there is some improvement !
i got the id’s deleted from my mail page address buk …now it doesnt get added again n again
but it is still there in the YMSG list i use the beta version 7.5 of yahoo

i tried deletin it usin the web messenger nearly a 100 times but it never got deleted then i gav up …wen i logged into my web page i found those id’s missin from my address buk …but in YMSG it is thr !
