I got an email this morning from Yahoo telling me that Yahoo! Briefcase is closing as of March 30th.
Dumb question coming..I don’t use it, but with it closing, will it affect my personal email account and anything that I have stored as in saved emails in folders?
Thanks in advance.

Am I the only one who wonders if new members are just lazy, or just truly have no interest in the topic at hand and just write random **** that makes no sense to the topic so they can check out aspecs of the forum (ala arcade).

I had honestly totally forgotten about Yahoo Briefcase to be honest. When I got the email my self, I had to check it out, and found files in there I had uploaded when in was in high school almost 5 years ago! Not to mention a few scary photo’s of my self as well! 😮
It doesn’t surprise me that Yahoo would close projects that is almost non-utilized. It wouldn’t surprise me also if they canned Yahoo Groups as well.

I too had forgotten about Yahoo! Briefcase until this e-mail so had to double-check that I didn’t have anything in it and sure enough some old files I thought were long gone.
As far as Yahoo! Groups I think it’s more used than we realize. My job actually uses Yahoo! Groups for On-line Support for patients who are considering surgery or patients who have had surgery. They have a good amount of active members. I will say it’s not the best, but they use it well.
