I know yahoo chat has been taken down a few times this week to put in the new changes. I was wondering if anyone had an idea when the changes would be complete? I know some of you know a bit more about yahoo than others. I just hope i can get back to chatting regularly. hopefully the new word verification is set to when you change rooms aswell, other wise owners of porn bots and such could just simply alter their programs so the word verification box pops up and they are ready to spam rooms. I doubt they would want to have to manualy type in word verification every time the bot changes a room. it would be a pain for the chatters, but would rid most of the bots.

Well, as stated on the Yahoo! Messenger Blog changes are nearly complete and ready for the captcha verification servers to be active.
It’s definitely going to be sad to see C-Mode and Gawd Mode die though.
P.S. You can use Y!mLite right now and use the command to use the alpha server (/alphacs), then go to any room with a 1 in it (example: Yahoo! Chat Help:1::1600326597), and you’re in chat. 😀

Can you elaborate on this? Are the boot exploits going to be removed, thereby eliminating the need for booter protection?

With the new alpha servers being used in Y!mLite, it was found that both C-Mode and Gawd Mode are dead inside of it (meaning Yahoo “fixed” it). When Yahoo rolls out the new servers, both protections will be gone, and everyone will be left defenseless.
Unless, of course, Craig, Adam or somebody else finds a new protection. 🙂
