i m facing problems in using yahoo im 6. when i installs it (with a latest downloaded version) it crashes after installation. and whenever i try to run it gives error Illegal operation. even the older version is doing the same. i tried to install in D drive also but same problem.
i also ran a registry cleaner.. but nothing is doing it. what can be done except a fresh windows setup?

i m using Windows 2000 professional with SP 4.Like u said u are having crashes on ur Y. Messenger, I sometimes have the same prob in my cafe, just go thru ur control panel go to add and remove programs, remove it from there and download the Yahoo Messenger from Yahoo page direct. go to http://http://www.yahoo.com then click on Messenger at the top right hand side of the page, the it will open cick get it now and download it to ur system then install it. if the problem still continues, just email me at eotus12@yahoo.com let me still tell other things to try
