Leapy Leo
MemberHi,
After sending an e-mail yesterday I was unable to get back into my “inbox”.
Whenever I click on “Check mail” it takes me directly to “compose message”, which is very annoying as I am waiting for a message that I can know has arrived but I cannot open it.
There doesn’t even seem to be a facility for reporting the problem to Yahoo, although I have tried on the “report abuse” link [though I know this isn’t the proper place to report this problem to, but I couldn’t find a relevant link].
Wondering if anybody else has experienced this problem as I am at a loss what to do now.
:crying:

MemberHello Leapy Leo or should I call you brother in arms since I have exactly the same problem with my Yahoo inbox. Can’t get at incoming messages, all the things you describe, and even the icon on my desktop has faded to a mere y[lost the box that used to surrounded it and has faded to a kind of dull red as though saying I’m sick]
This has been going on for a fortnight now so I have opened a new e-mail address, sent everybody the new one and when Yahoo do finally get it sorted they can just carry on without my custom.
It’s not acceptable. It caused me trouble coz there was an e-mail from my girlfriend in there that she eventually had to relay to me verbally. Also I’m waiting for confirmation of playstation games I had ordered off Play.com for my eldest son [15] so don’t know when to expect them which is a problem because the postie tends to leave them on the doorstep where the local scallies could help themselves…
No, I’m not very pleased with Yahoo at the moment!

MemberThanks for the sympathy, W. I have posted elsewhere that I have since heard that Yahoo have a server down and was expecting it to take “a few days” to sort out, however I am now heading into a 3rd week without being able to read my mail and I too have opened another e-mail account [though the facilities are not as good, I have to say]; agree about them losing custom, though. Sure alot of people simply won’t go back!

MemberFor what it’s worth, you CAN access your Yahoo Mail – even the “free” version – by using http://www.PopPeeper.com instead – which possibly might show if the messup is actually at YOUR end or in fact at Yahoo’s end.

MemberThankyou to Worshipher and Eagle.
I just tried my Yahoo e-mail account and was able to access it as soon as I signed in so it looks like their problems have been cleared up!
Three messages were there thAT i’ve been waiting a fortnight to get at but 17 more that were just wasting computer space!
Thankyou!

I’m glad you’ve made “alternative arrangements” in the meantime, Neil – but I can imagine the grief at suddenly having your Inbox access whipped away. 🙁HOPEFULLY it may come back, as for Leapy Leo – that’s the real “fun” thing about Yahoo these days… intermittent bugs and quirks, just to keep us all on our toes. 😉
