Okay after trying several times to post in Yahoo! New’s Section, i was not successful, so i decided to post here:
Have you logged onto the Yahoo! Homepage lately? Well i hadn’t, so when i did today i noticed a major difference. They are trying to change their homepage. It is not noticeable to everyone as they are switching back and forth in different regions to get feedback.
As you can see from the upper right hand corner they are asking for feedback.
I for one think the new one looks too cluttered. I may not use it too often, but i do use it ocassionally, so i’m hoping the new one doesn’t get placed permanantly.
What are your opinions on the new Yahoo! Homepage?

I like the sign in/mail section on the right top tho.March 16, 2006 at 12:25 am #140240FancyMemberThey both look equally bad to me, I always feel like I need to hold my purse really close to my body when I visit… (this might be a westcoast thing that you do when you are in a bad neighborhood).

I think the word Yahoo! being on the upper left hand corner throws me off the most because it blends in instead of standing out. When it was centered it seemed more out there. So i shall wait and see what they decide on in the end.
March 24, 2006 at 11:13 pm #140238StrigoiMemberI stopped using Yahoo homepage a long time ago.My yahoo is my homepage now.looks better,i can structure it myself, pick what i want, make it how i like it.Yahoo needs a change really,it was the same old thing for way to long but this is not the way to do it,it all looks pushed together, there are no separation, delimitation marks to organise things on the page.makes me dizzy really…I’ve recently looked at the My MSN page too,it also lacks options, especially in the “service” department but it definitely looks rounder, more colourful, even more interesting, despite the informational downside.
Bottom line is that Yahoo desperately needs a new graphics team and MSN needs a better PR manager cause it surely doesnt please me 😀 -
