KeymasterWell I just got a messege though a friend with a link that brought me to a page at http://www.geocities.com Then it asked me for my usernames and password. So I entered, well to make a long story short I recognized my security seal was not there after i clicked ok.
Before I could change my password it was changed.
The funny part is this happend to me before. and like last time I fell for it.
Its hard not to fall for it when it comes from a friend or through a friend.

MemberChris you should know by now those are sites designed to steal your Yahoo ID
and Password. If anything you should make a bot name ( which contains none
of your own personal data ) that way if you do sign in with your bot name all
they really did was steal a useless bot.Anyway, whoever stole your name had the information sent to
http://demons-revenge.com/ylogd/ymail.php
In the furture I would suggest either not putting any username and password
or use a bot that has none of your personal data. Also you should remove the link you have posted so no else can lose their Yahoo Account.
This is what a phishing site looks like. You will notice in the address bar the
URL is not an offical Yahoo website. It may look like an actual Yahoo Login
but in facts its not. Below is a Screen Shot.

Which is something that anyone who runs into a fake geocities log-in site should do, because it stops someone else from getting their id taken and delays the person who created it because they have to recreate another site, or just get tired and give up.
Thanks for including a screenshot though. *gives you +rep*

MemberWhen I have created my Yahoo mail, I thought to myself: who would need such a data like, well, my birthdate? What will I use Yahoo mail for anyhow? So I’ve entered a bogus birth-date.
Then from time to time I went to “Recover my password”. Whoops! What was that birthdate again? I’ve forgot!
Now that’s really very really bad.
I think that the date of the birth can’t be changed not only on real life, but also on Yahoo servers. So you can recover your password by entering some sensitive data that the identity theft can’t steal like, you’re right!, the birth date.

Not really, there’s a program called “Info Cracker”, this program design to crack the information people use when they make a Yahoo Account. Once your Information cracked, the cracker just need to contact Yahoo with the information to change all the information with the new one, like change the date of birth, secret question. And when everything already set up with new information, You’ll not gonna able to get the account back.

MemberWell, its easy to make a different betwen Yahoo!’s Official Login and the Phishing one. Yahoo! Official Login never using http://www.geocities.com/blahblah . The Yahoo! Official Login always had “yahoo.com” word after the http, like http://edit.yahoo.com http://photos.yahoo.com . Even if someone build they personal site on Geocities, and they want they friend to check it out, IF they requierd to login before they able to see the contain of the site on Geocities, they’ll direct to Yahoo! Official Login, after that they’ll re-direct to Geocities.
