ParticipantHi and welcome to bigblueball AhrimanSefid,
Can you please be a little bit more specific with your problem.
Are you saying you can’t login or use voice chat?

MemberI believe he is looking for a way to set it so Voice does not
turn on automatically when you enter chat rooms.December 8, 2006 at 9:39 pm #154890imported_Ven0m
MemberEasy. Go to Start, then Run, and type in regedit…
Navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER > Software > yahoo > pager > profiles > > Chat
Then edit the Enable Voice DWORD value from 1 to 0. If the Enable Voice value does now exist, Create a new value by right clicking, then select New, then select DWORD Value. Name it Enable Voice, and set it’s value to 0.
Hope this helps.

KeymasterTo turn off Auto voice in chat.
Andy over at WackyB.co.nz made a program for anyone who wants to turn off Voice/mic in chat rooms, Without it turning on when you change rooms.

You don’t even need to close yahoo for it to work!!!
If your in a room with voice on and decide to turn it off. Then you run the program. When you change rooms voice does not turn back on.To turn on voice all you have to do is click on voice button while your in a chat

MemberNo problem. It’s one of the more annoying things I hate about Yahoo. Nonetheless, it’s effective until you activate voice in the chat rooms, then, again, you’ll have to repeat the disabling process. 😉
P.S. I don’t think Andy’s tool permanently disables auto-voicing, I think it’s more of a short-term solution. 😎

KeymasterKingofchaos6669 Andys tool does the same thing you did but you do not have to go into the registry.

ParticipantNonetheless we can all agree both solutions work.
Thanks for the valuable input!

ParticipantTim see build 8.0.0.701
i changed offset 398818 to 39881B
was that the same offset you used?
as it never killed the buddylist ad
January 5, 2007 at 7:01 am #154901tim2679
MemberYes those are the Offsets that are changed for that version.
Also if you are using a program like YTunnel or YTK those prorgams
can delete the registry entry added in combination with the patch to
remove the ad.January 5, 2007 at 3:32 pm #154888Dermot
Participanti had to try it a few times with the same offset for it to work
got the rest ok
thanks

Memberhello, after using Tims patch I have experienced slow loadin too. if I undo the patch it returns to normal. so what I did after undoin the patch was go in and edit the urls.xml file . after doin that it loaded slow again. so i think the problem with slow loadin has somethin to do with that. i have since put the urls.xml file back to normal and it loads perfectly again. maybe im on the wrong track, im not good with editing files, thats you guys job..:) but its just somethin i noticed. ok, thanks!
