January 23, 2007 at 2:25 am #157180tim2679MemberThis Program is no longer Freeware
January 23, 2007 at 3:56 am #157175enigma666MemberNo longer freeware. *sad* 🙁
January 23, 2007 at 3:57 am #157170imported_Ven0mMemberYou could use YTK Lite (since it’s free, or use YTK Pro). I tested it with this new version and it works. =)

Sad is when you add a donation button, have over 2000 people download it since the donate button was added, and no one has donated even a single dollar. lol
Which is fine I am not complaining. The fact is it takes time and effort to update over and over each time yahoo updates.
Which allows the user of the program to remove the ad in the main messenger window with a single click of a button.January 23, 2007 at 9:36 am #157155Jeff HesterKeymasterI am waiting for Yahoo! Messenger for Windows Vista. Since that might be only a week away I don’t want to donate yet. The main ad is not that bad, Its the other ads that get annoying and I know how to block them.
January 23, 2007 at 5:19 pm #157171imported_Ven0mMemberYahoo! Messenger for Windows Vista, I believe, will be released as a beta sometime later this year (as per my understanding of it).
January 23, 2007 at 9:04 pm #157160DermotParticipanthave you noticed tim the 4 byte urls thing dont work anymore
January 24, 2007 at 12:10 am #157156Jeff HesterKeymasterYour right Yahoo! messenger for vista is not being released untill sometime between April and June.
Oh Well, I can wait.
January 24, 2007 at 3:26 am #157161DermotParticipantI have updated my Ad Destroy 3.0 on my site to patch the ads in this build 8.1.0.239
It should work fine, if not you can let me know here or on my site.
Thanks.
January 24, 2007 at 12:43 pm #157174natarauMemberany ad banner remover that works with this new version?
January 24, 2007 at 6:50 pm #157172imported_Ven0mMemberWell, you have 3 choices at the moment…
Dermot’s Ad Destroy 3.0 (freeware)
Tim’s Ad Banner Remover 4.2 (payware now)
Torseq Tech’s YTK Lite (Like Y!Tunnel, but better, and blocks all the ads) (freeware)It’s up to you. =)
January 24, 2007 at 10:04 pm #157176enigma666MemberDermot your Ad Destroy 3.0 was flagged as suspicious Trojan/Worm on two virus scanners on http://www.virustotal.com/
That being said I have not used it as of yet. I would love to Torseq Tech’s YTK Lite but it only removes the ads on one instance of yahoo. I would like it to remove the ads on all instances of yahoo that is open. Right now the only one that does it is Tim’s Ad Banner Remover but that is no longer freeware.
January 25, 2007 at 1:44 am #157162DermotParticipantHmmm thats not good, that virustotal link doesnt even open for me.
What two anti virus programs flagged it?
