Hello,
I never had this problem before using my Logitech quick cam on Yahoo mesenger, viewing other peoples cams. But now for some unknown
reason when I put my cam on, people can view me but I cannot
view them.I also use my cam on Msn Mesenger, but have no problem viewing
other cams.I have been all over the internet trying to get answers to this problem
with Yahoo, but to no avail, I’m still trying to get an answer.Hopefully some one here can help me solve this problem.
Thanks,
Dick :new: to BigBlueBall as of today.October 13, 2008 at 9:51 pm #171568Doris KenneyParticipantHello and welcome to BBB! Yahoo has been having all kinds of problems lately. If your cam is working properly elsewhere – I’d think its more likely a Yahoo issue than one with you. These problems can be sporadic and affect only certain people. I’d give it a few days and see what happens – it may just all come right again.

Thanks for your reply regarding my webcam problem on Yahoo Messenger.
This has been going on for several months now. I thinks it more then
a problem with Yahoo. There must be a glitch somewhere in there program and nothing has been resolved.
Everytime I talk to their support service, they tell me that they are checking out the problem.
Thanks again.

As for how long it takes them to fix? That’s anyone’s guess. Most people I know that talk with technical support never actually receive any kind of satisfactory answer and end up finding workarounds on their own to problems.

searching for a fix to my webcam problem…I’ts never going to happen as far as I’m concened, so I will keep trying all other avenues like I have been doing the last couple of months. Hopefully I will get lucky and fine someone who can
help me fix the problem.

October 15, 2008 at 10:24 pm #171573glen108MemberYes, My Flash and Java have been updated. This was one of the first things I did when the problem started.
If you can think of any more suggerstions to help me with my problem, please let me know. I appreciate it very much. -
