MemberHi all, I was wondering why my classic skin is all grey? Looks like an old version but I have YM7. I thought it was supposed to have a dark blue border or something. Is everybody else’s like that or just mine?

ParticipantWhen you use the classic skin it will make Yahoo use whatever theme you are using for windows. I’m assuming you are using the classic setting?

ParticipantJust thought about this, are you using Windows XP? XP comes with three default variations, blue, silver, and olive, as well as the classic (gray).
Right-click on your desktop and select properties, this brings up the display properties box. You can look in there to see what theme you are using.
The preview of Yahoo messenger’s classic skin that you see when you change skins shows the blue version.

ParticipantOk that explains it… the blue you see on the messenger preview matches the default windows xp theme. I did make an actual skin for yahoo that looked like that, but I’ll have to see if I still have it. That’s the only way you can get that look on 98. If you want that, let me know and I’ll look around for it or throw a new one together for you. 🙂

It would just be a quick colorize job with a little copy and paste, as I KNOW I have the OliveXP skin. I think that is one that I did for someone but never posted on my site and somehow missed backing up when I wiped out my pc, unless it’s buried on our server somewhere. Next weekend I’ll have some time to catch up on some projects I’m working on, so I’ll probably do it then.
