Hello,
When I installed the new Messenger a few weeks ago there was some message about it blocking pop-up adverts. Please tell me I didn’t dream this.
I now find that when I’m using the internet certain pop-ups that I actually want are being blocked. Does anyone know how I stop it from blocking these?
Thanks.
Probably should have mentioned – I’m using internet explorer.
I guess it has just changed the settings but can’t work out how.
Yahoo! Companion the Toolbar that is packaged with Yahoo! Messenger, does contain a pop-up blocker.
Similar to that of Google and MSN.
If you want to turn it off, im fairly sure you can just do an add/remove and uninstall the software.
If you are on Win XP w/ beta service pack 2, IE has its own popup blocker.(not very good one)
You can turn that off under the Internet Options.
If you want to keep the pop up blocker, you can always go up to the companion toolbar,, and just to the right of your buttons is the pop up icon… it will let you view recently blocked pop ups or always allow pop ups from whatever sites you want… hope this helps!
Which is the best and most effective pop-up blocker?
