Yahoo Messenger will not let me add new friends to my buddy list

I cannot add new friends to my buddy list and cannot figure out why. I have had ppl try to add me and if I accept and add them, it adds them to my address book but not to my buddy list. The request pops up everytime I sign in no matter how many times I accept it. The only way I can add someone is to use someone else’s computer and that sux. I have uninstalled and re-installed and upgraded to the new Beta and NOTHING has worked. Can someone please help me figure out what the heck is going wrong with my computer?:confused:

It is not your computer, buddy lists are stored on Yahoo’s servers. Yahoo is just screwy.
