MemberThis is the worst version they have EVER come out with!
1.) No refresh selection anymore, if you want to refresh you have to hit the F5 key.
2.) Logging chats. Even though I have my preferences set to log ALL chats and NOT discard them when I sign off, sometimes I am finding out that chats are NOT being logged at all, or if they are I can’t view them when I go to “message archive”. For instance. I started to a friend of mine today on a new ID, when I attempt to view the message archive it shows NOTHING, it shows his user ID but no logs! If I go to the programs folder under the c drive, I can pull them up under his folder with his ID and it shows the files in there, but when I try to pull them from within messenger itself, NOPE, it acts like there are no archives for him!
Also, email notifications are taking FOREVER to come, the program will log off on it’s own and log back in whenever it feels like it, it will change my status from “away” back to “available” whenever it feels like it, etc. It’s HORRIBLE!
I’m going back to the previous version, only thing is if I do, then I have to deal with getting pop up notifications from Yahoo begging me to upgrade every 5 minutes!
BTW, does anyone have a clone program for the recent version of Messenger to allow you to run multiple instances of Messenger at the same time? I have one for the previous version but it doesn’t work with the recent version.
Thanks.

Hope that helps a bit.

MemberWell I have to say I have never had any of those problems before. It may be something else (e.g. firewall setting ect…)
As far as clones or multi messengers here are some links to the 7.0.0.426 multi messenger , 6.0.0.1922 multi messenger. Also here is a link to the 6.0.0.1922 version of Yahoo messenger.

MemberQuestion. Do I have to uninstall the multi tool I already installed, or uninstall messenger and reinstall it all over again? Or can I just install one of these other multi tools and go on from there? I really don’t want to have to reinstall messenger all over again, as I have 5 accounts, and I don’t feel like sitting here setting up every single account all over again.
Thanks.

Have you tried posting your email address without the @ extension?
