Participantnot sure what your problem is with offline messages because you dont have to ‘access’ them, they should automatically appear as soon as you sign on. sorry its not any help to your problem

ParticipantDo you have Message Archive enabled? If so, try looking at your archives in yahoo messenger to see if those off-lines show up there.

MemberHey this may be a sign that ur id is hacked , in short someone knows ur password and accessess ur account without u knowing and thats the reason the offlines sent to u do not appear because they are already viewed by that person on his computer and even if he enables archiving in ur id, the messages that appear while he opens the account will be saved on his computer only and not urs and also if he has any conversation with any of ur list members they will be stored on his computer only and not urs,
be careful i suggest change ur password ASAP and inform ur friends that probably ur id is hacked and ask them to be careful
thank you

ParticipantKnowledge! No need to spread fear! 😛
Usually when someone hacks your account, they’d immediately change your password. Yes, there are rare occassion where they just want to mess with you so don’t actually change the password, but these are rare. (So if you want to change your password go ahead, but i think the off-line problem lies somewhere else).
There have been many cases where people don’t get off-line messages and it can be for a million reasons (some that we don’t even know the solution to yet!) If you search the forum here, you’ll find lots of topics about people who aren’t getting their off-line messages and many suggestions other people offer to them.
So i don’t think there’s a need to immediately assume your password has been cracked or anything. But good luck in getting your missing off-line problem fixed.
Oh and to test knowledge’s theory, create another account, add yourself to it, send yourself off-lines and immediately log into the other account, and if they aren’t there, well it’s a different problem other than someone else logging into your name because i doubt that the person is going to log in at the exact same time you happen to do so!
Good luck on solving your problem.

MemberOk hatedjealousy,
But buddy knowing password is not always for hacking someones id , it can be for spying on them also and knowing their personal information through any mails they receive,
this has happened to me , someone knew my password and that person used to open my account everyday and read my offline messages and mails ,
I could not figure out whether she read my mails because she used to first read them and then mark them as unread
but i could not read my offline messages all those days and my friends used to complaint why I was being so rude and not replying , and finally with help of buddy spy etc i figured out that she was doing it ,
and she accepted the fact later and we r friends again ,
so this is my experience thats why I shared it , I m sorry if its not valid as per u
🙁

ParticipantI never said it was an impossible situation nor invalid, i just said it was a rare one ;). Plus you used the word hacking, and hacking is when someone has taken control over which is different from cracking… (plus i hate scaring people when it could be a simple problem! Especially on one that if you read around this forum has been asked TONS of times) Also if you don’t mind me asking, how the heck did you use buddyspy to find out it was her doing it? If someone was logged onto your name and you used buddyspy it would tell you someone is on-line on it, not WHO.
But back to the main problem at hand, and hopefully kmanson will figure out a way to get his off-lines again.

MemberYes buddyspy helped me
I used to check out my friends ids as well as my own,
and if u r have not signed in and u are still shown online what will u do?
u may say it must be a buddy spy error but no , as i signed in immediately and i got a message saying “u cannot sign in because u are already signed in on another device or computer”
and till my id was online all my friends were offline but as my id went offline one one of my friend ( the samegirl) came online and this was repeated for a number of days ,
now dont ask me how i confirmed it was her pls
and its not always neccessary that it can be a small problem or a yahoo error
anyways ,this are my views and i shared them , i m not scaring anyone its just an advice , i have only suggested him to change his password based on what i experienced…because precaution is better than cure 🙂
