I”ve been using yahoo voice for years but all of a sudden I’ve started getting this error message when I click the voice connect button:
You are unauthorized to join this conference
I am not trying to join a conference. Just trying to chat one on one with another person. I have uninstalled and reinstalled messenger several times.
Does anyone have any suggestions on this?
Thanks

Do you happen to be using bluetooth wireless I know there are some problems with the set up sometimes for yahoo chat to work properly.August 2, 2006 at 10:58 pm #149696Eagle_KiwiMemberHi, and Welcome 😀 to the BBB, Skooter.
I’ve seen that message at odd times for many years, and generally I find simply trying again works fine, or if need be exit/reopen my YM then things are fine again. I’m sure it’s not anything YOU are doing wrong – it’s simply a “Yahoo glitch”.
Does it happen every time, or just sometimes, and does the same apply with different people, or is it only when you try contacting ONE particular friend ? (If so it might be possible it’s THEIR problem and not YOURS.)
Also, can you give full detail of how/where you “try to chat with another person” ? Is this simply text in an IM window (“Send an I.M.”), or “Invite to Conference” (and if so, with voice enabled or not?), or even maybe “Call” which is one on one voice ?
Also, what YM version are you ?Perhaps you might be interested in THIS thread too, which may be around the same problem area.
Good luck . 😎
