Hey everyone! I recently overhauled my computer including a fresh install of the operating system (XP Pro) on a new HD. I installed Yahoo Messenger and now I can’t run my webcam. I’ve tried a few with the same result. Yahoo starts fine, but when I clik on Start My Webcam messenger freezes the whole system. I can’t even use CTRL+ALT+DEL. I have a Creative webcam and have tried it on other ppl’s computers with no problem. Does anyone have any ideas? thanks!
Did you use the compatablity wizard or is the cam winxp pro complinent I use a logitech 5.6 webcam I had to download the drivers and install from logitech Its wasnt made for xp to start with but they updated drivers so it was you might try looking for an updated driver at the cams web site .
Yes, it is compliant. It has to be a yahoo problem I think because the cam operates fine outside of yahoo. It works in it’s own software and in netmeeting. :confused:
