MemberYMSG Last.FM Broadcaster is an utility for Yahoo! Messenger that obtains the Current Playing Song from Last.FM and broadcasts it textually through Yahoo! Chat, PM’s and Conference’s. Last.FM is a Media Player plugin that is compatible with Windows Media Player, Winamp and iTunes.
If you don’t use Last.FM, I recommend you do, as it is an extremely great, popular Media Plugin for the Media Players out there.
NOTE: This utility is only compatible with Yahoo! Messenger 9.0 and higher.

MemberNow this is AWESOME. Do you mind a couple requests? 😛
1. Start with Windows feature. Yeah, I want this big boy auto-starting (yes, I know you know I could easily do this myself, me lazy).
2. Send to tray upon start (so the window won’t display upon start).
3. Ability to turn off the tray notifications.
4. Make it not send broadcasts (at least PMs) when logged in invisibly.
5. Ability to filter out certain contacts, so they won’t receive updates when a PM window is open.
6. Ability to make it not send now playing updates to mobile/invisible/busy/idle status users.
7. More values for album and time of the song (SA and ST perhaps?).
8. Allow it to have its own font and formatting (not using the default).
9. Ability to turn off broadcasts, or turn them back on (individually and/or globally) via a system tray right click menu, and an exit menu item via the system tray icon via right click.Wow, I’m having fun with this. I’ve always wanted something like this for iTunes only, but this will have to do. Have you ever looked at HyperIM and how it’s able to emulate the Launchcast status packet? This would be interesting to see too.
Thanks for sharing! 😀

MemberThanks alot Ven0m for your great feedback and requests! 😀
I’m currently making a new build of it already, 1.0.0.200 which should be finished soon. I’ve had so many Emails from people who use this and their amazed by it and have asked me to add some more features (some are listed that you’ve mentioned).
The new build I’m making right now will be capable of broadcasting the message to your Yahoo! Status and I’ll be adding more Media Values, such as Album Name, Song Length, etc….
I’ll also be adding more Advanced features to it, like you mentioned, disable notifications, automatic startup and it’s own font environment.
I haven’t heard of HyperIM, but finding out how to produce the Launchcast Status Packet will be amazing!
I’ll inform you when I get more information about it.
