MemberI’d very much doubt it, Narayanan, considering how near to impossible it is even to find a 3rd party WINDOWS program to use voice on those!
(I’ve recently at last confirmed that [Windows]Trillian can do voice with YM, but that seems to be about all.But if there IS anything, I hope someone will post details here 4 U. 🙂

Oh, Trillian Basic can do voice with YM, and MSN. If you buy Pro, you can do the voice chat with AIM, MSN, and YM. However, you cannot do a plain voice chat from Trillian to AIM because of AIM’s special “AIM Talk” thing. Hope this helps, Trillian Basic = Voice with YM and MSN, Pro = Voice with YM and MSN; Video with AIM (I’m pretty sure voice will work when doing video, but not 100% sure), YM, and MSN (both will certianly work voice and video)

MemberThe gaim client, has voice and video in the works, but it isn’t ready for public consumption yet.
gaim.sourceforge.net wrote:Gaim 2.0.0 beta 2 does not include voice or video (“vv”) support for any protocols. We’ve done some work toward vv compatibility for Google Talk, but it isn’t ready for the general public yet. It is unlikely this will change for the final release of Gaim 2.0.0, but vv will be a primary focus for the next major release of Gaim after that. There is a fork of gaim called gaim-vv, but it is no longer maintained since the code is being merged back into mainline gaim, and when complete, it should be able to support MSN, Yahoo, and Google Talk’s voice. I’m not sure about AIM’s protocol, but I’m sure they are working on getting it working as well.

MemberHave a look at Wengophone 2.0 beta. It covers the major networks although I’m not sure if it can do audio with them. Still, I think it’s the best messenger for Linux.
