August 16, 2004 at 2:41 pm #39953DavidParticipantI’m sure all you people that saw the ‘You know what http:// means’ question and don’t know what it means are not wondering “wtf is http?”.

I mean, why have a boring old beige-case(actually, mine’s black) when it would be a lot more interesting to just have cords and a bunch of computer-guts lying all over? I think they’re interesting to look at.

September 11, 2004 at 10:41 pm #39959RabidKittenParticipant*tilt* Somehow I find that extremely hard to believe, Dude.
Of course, on second thought, I’d hate to taint the name of geeks all over the world, so I think I speak for all geeks all over the world when I say “Yes, thank god you’re not a geek”.
September 11, 2004 at 11:07 pm #39967bigcfkMemberNumbers which apply to me:
#3 If you can quote scenes from any Monty Python movie… hey, Life Of Brian was funny.
#30 If you have never backed-up your hard drive… That makes me a geek? Oh.
#34 If you have ever purchased an electronic appliance “as-is”… maybe I dont understand this one.
#55 If people groan at the party when you pick out the music… I live with punk rockers, what can I do?
#67 If you spend more on your home computer than your car… I dont have a car.5. Thats not terribly geeky. What does “as-is” mean that makes it so geeky?
EDIT= Nope, just 4. I dont take apart things I buy, that’d be a waste of money.
September 11, 2004 at 11:12 pm #39954DavidParticipantI think it means that if you buy electronic devices as-is, it means you are probably just going to take it apart and scrap it [And since you need know-how to do that, you would be a geek. (Anyone that can deal with electronics is a geek :P)]….Heh, been there. =)

I have a little window on the side of mine, its pretty cool. I cant wait til I have my own computer so I can trick it out. And yes, I dont even have to look at the list to know im a nerd. But some girls actually like my nerdyness, go figure!
