Oh man… my elementary school had that game on their computers, the old DOS version, with the stick-man hunting and the irritating sound effects. Me and my friends would play that game, and whenever one of our team leaders died, we left funny/sometimes-naughty things on the tombstones for the other people on the school network to see. I recently got the same DOS version of this game, and I still like to play it.
Anyway, I didn’t exist in the 80’s. 🙂

Dude hell yeah! They ended up removing that game when I was in 5th grade because students kept putting bad things on the tombstones, but damn that game was cool!
June 8, 2005 at 8:20 pm #123806gossipingraeMemberHAHAAH hell yeah I remember those! I remember almost all of them! It’s scary, but funny.
Oh, and just a side note. My aunt did the voice of Red on Fraggle Rock. Her name is Mona Marshall, and she continues to do many voices, particularly with anime. Google her, you will learn a lot!
June 9, 2005 at 3:27 am #123803EEDOKMemberHalf of those were the early 90’s not the 80’s…
Oregon Trail was originally on the old apples
June 9, 2005 at 3:58 am #123808NessaParticipantYeah, well i wasn’t quite sure since the e-mail said 80’s so in the end of my post i had included the quote below.;)
If you grew up in the 80’s or even early 90’s…

*wide eyed* Oh my goodness!! *laughing her ass off* I so did! Not only that but I opened up my music and put on my headphones and rocked out to it.
Golly 1984 was a good year *soft sigh* If not only for the fact that I was born that year *wink*
Wow… *reading through* I seriously did or identified with all of these except for the having a mullet thing. *shakes her head* Wow. My Little Ponies is still hot, I still recite the words to Fresh Prince of Bell Air when I see it’s on, L.C. Slater was a fox, Cindi Lauper is so much better than Madonna, Jelly Shoes were great and Smurfette was NOT the only female smurf.
There’s a younger girl Smurf named Sassette. She was created by the Smurflings (Smurfs caught in Father Time’s Clock and are gradually getting younger and younger, Nat, Slouchy and Snappy) to keep Smurfette company, and Smurfette was a purple smurf with dark hair, created my Gargamell to lure the Smurfs to his house, originally…but she was just too smurfy and her smurfiness shined through and she ended up living among them.
And yes…I did just remember all of that from memory… *cough* But, yeah here’s a little background site on the Smurfs. They even have an article on the creator of the smurfs, other images and this strange page about how the smurfs were communists. Just fun fun stuff.
I’m such a grammar whore… *sigh* I want to type “Smurves” instead of “Smurfs” …it’s like saying “Leafs” instead of “Leaves” or something!
Edit: Ohhh, look what I came across while looking for pictures of nifty 80’s cartoons for a new line of avvys. (Yes, just that bored)
http://www.megsplace.com/TimeWarp/child.htmlHeh…personally, my favorite is: “You remember Michael J. Fox as Marty McFly or Alex P Keaton.”
June 9, 2005 at 1:28 pm #123807gossipingraeMemberDefinately Alex P. Keaton. Ha that was classic!
