MemberI am running a wireless home network with two computers. The settings on IE6 appear to be identical – have checked repeatedly. The computer with Windows XP functions without problems. The computer with Windows ME has a couple of problems – am looking for ANY help I can get. The problems are:
I cannot access Yahoo Messenger Chatroom Adult Profiles
When exiting Adult Webcams, I get regularly (not always) error
messages: “Ypager has caused an error in YPAGER.EXE. Ypager
will now close.”, and “Ypager has caused an error in YWDVWR.DLL
Ypager will now close.”.I have tried uninstalling and re-installing Yahoo Messenger several times, repairing Yahoo Messenger Program, restarting my computer, none of which correct the situation. Yahoo Help (by e-mail) has provided no solution. Any suggestions on this or the other thread?
Thanks

Memberthe ypager error just happens with cams sometimes but it can allso be some one harrasing you….. if it happens when some one turns a cam off thats just a glitch///
does it prompt you to log in when entering adult profiles?

MemberIt does prompt me to log in – right after the “Adult Profile – I’m 18 years or older – sign in now” screen. Log in allows me to put in my user id and password – but from then on all I can get is the “Adult Profile – I’m 18 years or older – sign in now” screen – over and over again
I don’t think the ypager thing is harrassment – I have changed my id – and that didn’t help. Also, it isn’t always when I close an open cam that it knocks me off – just sort of randomly. Appreciate your help if you know of any solutions.

MemberWindows ME has many issues, many report problems with it being unstable.
Yahoo! also has issues, you put them together, doesn’t make an excellent combination. I would say that it’s a Yahoo! issue, try going back a few builds into the 5.5 rather than the 5.6 versions if that’s what you’re running now.
http://www.freecreed.com/ymsgr-archive has many links to older versions. YOu should uninstall current before going back, as files left over from 5.6 with same names as those used by 5.5 are incompattible and don’t get replaced.

MemberI have solved most of the problem – upgraded from Windows ME to Windows XP – apparently solved all the problems – except access to Adult Profiles – that remains – Yahoo has notified me they think they have a problem in that area – but have not received a solution from them yet. Thanks for the reply anyway.

MemberYou might want to run ad aware and a trojan remover/virus scanner.
The second error means nothing other than to the people who wrote the software, and is probably just Yahoo! playing up.
