Oy, this makes me feel like such a n00b… I’d never even heard of JenniCAM before reading this article. Still sad to see a real frontiersman like that go, though.

I don’t think there are any permanent bans for AIM… I mean, anyone can just create a new sn if they get banned, so it’d be kinda pointless.
Anyways, what Tigerblade said is right, getting a 100% warning will kick you off AIM for a bit. Not really much of an issue if you have DeadAIM or any other cloning program, but it’s still a bit of a nuisance.Believe it was just timing… or maybe you just started using the internet a lot more when you got AIM (the pop ups can only come in while on the internet, I believe)
its unrelated to AIM, its actually a “feature” in Windows XP.
To disable it:
Open Control Panel
Go to Administrative Tools
Open Services
Scroll down to Messenger
Right click it and choose Properties
Press Stop
From the drop down menu, choose Disabledthat should work, and as far as i know, disabling it has no negative affects
It’s a feature in DeadAIM (and probably AIM+ for that matter), so just go get that. If you don’t want to buy v4.0 (which is on jdennis.net), you can find an older, free version on Google.

Looks like this ad payed off, in one day we got 30 new quotes, which was about 1/3 of what we had before!
