In order for me to see who is on-line i have to send the text message “Get” to Yahoo(92466). Then after i send it a couple of seconds later i get a text telling me who is on-line. That’s the only way that i currently know of.Doesn’t it make it hard to chat if you don’t know who is online?

MemberI am running 5.6 US. It is old, I know, I know.
I deleted the .chatCategories and that did the trick.
Thanks so much for your prompt and detailed help!
ToeBee wrote:Hi and welcome to BBB,First what version of messenger are you using? 6.0? beta 7.0? U.S.? U.K.? Also have you tried a fresh install? Make sure when you do the uninstall you manually delete the Yahoo! folder in Program Files (or where ever you installed it) then reboot and install a fresh copy.
If that doesn’t work, I know the room categories are stored locally in…
C:Program FilesYahoo!Messengercache
in the chat category XML’s. I don’t know if it is possible that one of those files got corrupt somehow. You can delete all of the files that end with .chatCategories and then do your room search. Yahoo should parse a new .chatCategories XML.
Hope that helps…
