Ok umm.. Make sure the arrows to the left of your friends list are pointing down so it expands that group, if they are pointed to the side click on them and make them point down. Try that and let me know..
Last time I was visiting their house, I set everything up on their computer and showed them where the shortcut was, this is the only reason that they even know how to get to this program, the only thing left to do is get their IP address and then it’s all good, they aren’t very good and computers but I showed them how to use TelNet, they do not have a clue whatsoever on how to get to “WINIPCFG” we already tried that multiple times and failed. I need a program or something to get there IP while running Messenger. I know I’m making it complicated but it’s kinda my only choice…
Another possibility could be that your friend has and Internet accelerator, if so, tell them to disable it and try viewing your files again.
As I said in my first posted message, it is not me who is downloading the files, it is my grandparents. I am the sender, they are the reciever. As I also put in a previous message, I would like to learn how to use TelNet, and I already know about the whole thing with servers being set up to recieve the files, I have that all worked out. I would appreciate it if smart ass replys be with-held from my topic. I strictly want to know how to do this through TelNet, no other file transfer programs intrest me.
The people you have added may have denied your request. If this is not the case, you may be able to solve your problem by going to your Messenger and taking the check out of the “Show Only Online Friends” under the “View” menu. try this and let us know if it resolves your problem.
This I would do but… I want to learn TelNet, I’m interested in this kinda stuff and I would like to find out their IP address through Yahoo and just use TelNet to get a direct connection to their computer so I don’t have to download anymore programs. My hard disk space is very limited and I don’t have much room for anymore files.
