🙂 i just wanted to tell all who tried to help me and all with the same problem that i…… am now one of the …….people that can hear in a chat room!! yahoooo i got full time ears now. it took me a while but i am a.o.k. it was infact my firewall that was stopping me from hearing in the chatroom. it was set at the highest level of function and i lowered it to medium and walaaaaa i have ears!!!!!:) soo thanks again all and by the way does anyone see a problem with my lowering the level of firewall?? much aloha!!

i also use windows xp and i got my service pack from microsoft home page then downloads. it worked for me… but not untill i did long version not the express one….good luck:)
Well not to get back on the subject but…..lets;) is it possible for somone to be viewing your cam with out your permission?? 😮 Very curious on that answer, not interested in how too, …but if its possible
is it possible if i have a firewall ears will not work in yahoo chat rooms? and if this is the case is it possible to shut off firewall temporarily– if so can you use detailed descripion on how to do so…gotta go real slow as i am a bigginner:) also in regard to sound card?? i am sorry, i appreciate your response but i dont know how to do what you suggested and when i asked other people who supposedly know about computers…they just said i dunnow 🙁 i have the original sound card as computer is very new and again i pass all sound tests – thanks again for all the help. i am slowly learning more and i love it!!
i had to download service pact 1 for my cam to work properly? and it does now! but dont try using express download that was a 2 day nightmare in itself. the old standby regular download worked great! just a suggestion. good luck
thanks again for another new response (idea) i am very new to the computer world and would like to try your idea of the sound card but dont know how! is there a place, site on how to do such a thing?? i appreciate the patience of everyone and all there ideas:)
🙂 thanks for the reply! as far a the ytunnel goes i really do not think thats the problem. i am not getting booted. i am running the 5,5,0,1250 version of yahoo messenger. i looked up the old version of yahoo messenger and found a few available. yahoo3.0-yahoo3.5-yahoo4.1-yahoo5.0. which of these do you reccommend i try? i have since i first put my problem up downloaded existing yahoo threw it away and re started completely (2 times with no luck). i also have redone all of yahoos testing i can find and i have had a friend who knows computers much more then me try to fiddle around. But alas no luck yet!! thankyou so much for this opportunity of getting help when i so badly want it! also do i need to unload existing yahoo to use the older version??:)
thanks for reply- i have looked alot for the y tunnel pro and have found lots of info except how to get it. all direct pages tell me it is unavailable. any suggestions?
