I would be very happy using another Instant Messenger (MSN, etc.) but most people use AIM.
Gaim doesn’t work to well with direct connect and file transfer.
I don’t really like Trillian. (just a personal preference)
And I can’t stand MirandaIM. I don’t know why, it’s just the feeling I get.1. Go to “Start -> Run” then type “%SystemRoot%System32sndrec32.exe”.
2. File -> Open -> *:Program FilesAIMSounds
3. Once one of the sound files are opened go to
Effects -> Decrease Volume (do this as many times as you want)4. File -> Save
Now redo steps 2, 3, and 4 with the rest of the sound files in that directory.
You can use the sound recorder in windows.
Open the sound file (*:Program FilesAIMSounds) in the sound recorder built into Windows. Go to Effects -> Decrease Volume (do this as many times as you want.
Now save it.
Your done.
If you have the original installer, reinstall it. If not, and you can’t find a way to get it:
Close AIM.
Go to C:Program FilesAIM95.
Open AIM.odl in notepad.
Delete the “load_ocm deadaim required”

You will no longer be using deadaim and therefore the error won’t popup anymore.

All files are as they were when I installed the program.

And that is way too big. Use a smaller font.
