It was my impression that javascript like that doesn’t work in aim profiles anyway. For example, my friend has an account on 50megs.com, and he made his own subprofile. His subprofile doesn’t have ads, because the javascript for the pop up window doesn’t run. Am I correct?

Similarly, I would like to display a random away message when I am away, but I can’t figure out anyway to do it. (I know about awaybox.com, but I hate advertising, especially in my profile, etc.)

I know how to do a random message in javascript as well as cgi, but I don’t think there is a way to make that work.
Is there any hope?
