i gotta comment on this..
use it or dont.. makes no diff to me.. but not trustworthy?!?
weve been doing this since 2004 and have more awards from reputable software sites than i need to mention..yea, im the adhack author..
When the window pops up and the code isn’t digitally signed, and it’s an executable that i’m going to have lots of conversations on and will be constantly running in the background…..that’s automatically not trustworthy. You are editing the installer, the executable, and i have no idea what else. With this little fix posted here, i know exactly what is being changed…and it’s a program that AOL published first hand.
I don’t know about others on this forum, but I have yet to have a virus on my computer and it’s because i’m cautious about what i download and install…unsigned programs are scary enough, one with internet access that has conversations constantly being sent…even scarier.
But your work is appreciated by many all over the world, that i am sure of.

I tried the method in the first post, but Vista wouldn’t let me save the files after I changed them. I then went on my notebook which has XP and changed the files, saved them, and replaced them on my desktop that is running Vista. Just FYI…
SOLUTION IS: Run notepad as an administrator….it’ll let you save it NO PROBLEM that way 🙂
forumsid987Memberthank you for this amazing tip!!! I hated using aim ad hack, it changed too much stuff and it was not from a trustworthy source.
THANK YOU x1000 for this!!! I love being able to do something myself and knowing I can trust it.
