no one’s had this problem? it keeps happening to me… i’ve never heard of it from anyone and i can’t seem to fix it…. it’ll be fine for like a week and then go back to idle… so weird
yeah, i know how to change it, i’m just looking for the wav file itself…. it’s weird that i can’t find it online anywhere…. so i have to get it directly from someone on AOL? would there be any way someone who had it would be willing to upload it online for me? i’d reallllllly appreciate it!
The icons are their buddy icons (or a part of them)~ It’s just like a little picture next to their sn…. I know that AOL has this, but AIM Express does too and some of the people on my buddy list that have pictures next to their sns aren’t AOL users and have no idea how they got to have a picture next to their name…. An example is that someone has a buddy icon that is an ice cream cone and on my AIM Express buddy list there is a ice cream cone next to her screen name. She doesn’t have AOL at all and has no idea how she got to have an ice cream cone next to her sn on my buddy list…. (This is just a specific example but you get the idea…)
Did you change it under “My Buddy Icon” and not just under your screename? On the older versions of AIM where everyone’s buddy icons are listed you SN is there too if you’re on your own buddy list…. You have to change “My Buddy Icon” and not just your SN’s buddy icon cus that will only show up on your computer…
I’ve found an extremely easy way around other people getting into your linkspy list… Use a user name that’s different from your sn and then just save the link to your list under favorites and check it there instead of clicking on it from your prof… No one knows the user name you used so they can’t get into your list
