The same problem happened to me. In December of last year, I got a new computer, and one of the first programs I installed was AIM. To this day, I have not been able to fix the AIM freezing after the first IM problem. I’ve tried uninstalling it completely, tried the Triton Beta, tried older versions, etc., and so far, none have worked.

The odd thing is that it only affects ONE screen name. The others seem to work fine. Unfortunately, that one SN is the one I use most.
