MemberI have $30 walmart special webcam that I use every so often.

MemberNo problem, also as a side note to my previous post; If you want to use Voice conference services through messenger the only setting this will work under is the no Proxies connection setting. In fact I would recomend this setting even if you have a proxy or a firewall. The only exception to this would be a corporate environment.

MemberNot short of asking each and every person if they have you on their list.

MemberWhy in the world would you want to have more than 30 users at one time on your webcam??? Talk about major Bandwidth usage [:O]
As for your first question, I don’t think there is any way to tell who all has you added to their list. Please correct me if I am wrong on this though.

Memberwhat Operating System are you running?
hellsfury_25m
MemberThere is however one exception to that. And that is you can use html in the emote_user.dat file as emotions.

MemberI strongly recommend that you do a quick search on the web via. google, or yahoo or your favorite search engine and search for the following html tutorials help, the search results should be in the thousands. There are hundreds of websites on the web that have tutorials on html, as well as reference guides, with the html tags, their definitions and the syntax(how to use them in proper format). There is no limit to the information to be found on the web, sometimes you just have to know how to find it. 😉

MemberWhat version of Yahoo Messenger are you using? If you are using the new 5.6 Messenger this might cause problems. I have heard of many people having connectivity problems with this version of messenger. I have not had any problems with this version of messenger though. The only thing that I can think of to aleviate your problem is to try downloading a previous version of messenger and installing that and see if it connects. Also try using a third party program that connects using the Yahoo Messenger protocol like, YahElite, or Yazaks, Trillian, Miranda…etc. See if any of those will connect. That should narrow your problem down at least.

MemberWell fortunately the program requests to view the webcam as an anonymous user. The “anonymous” user can be denied as with the other third party webcam viewers, so you can rest assured that your privacy is somewhat guarded.

MemberWell I’ve narrowed my problem down. It seems to only be occuring on my machine running XP. Msn 6 works just fine on my Win 98 machine. Not sure what the deal is but If I find a solution for XP I’ll make sure to post it here.
hellsfury_25m
MemberWell I don’t have a specific email address for you but you can go to this page http://docs.yahoo.com/info/support/contacts/ideas.html and the form will send yahoo an email. It’s basically Yahoo’s online Suggestion Box.

MemberOk, NONE of these solutions have worked so far. This computer is running Windows XP Home Edition with all the latest windows updates. I have reinstalled MSN Messenger 6, 4 times. I also made sure I had the latest update. I tried the registry fix several times and removed and re-installed Messenger after each time. This did not work. I’m all out of options now, the only thing I can do is revert to MSN 5.0. Does anyone have any other suggestions? I am going to try to sign in on my other pc running Windows 98SE with MSN 6.0 installed. I don’t know what the problem could be.
This computer does have XP’s built in firewall for dial-up…however MSN 6 has worked before with the same settings. This only started two days ago. I’m stumped 🙁

MemberAnd yet another reason why I don’t use AOHell I mean AOL. 😀
