It is true that DeadAIM has difficulties with aim: links (like the ones used to set buddy icons) if you have been using cloning. I have not had time to investigate this properly yet. I suggest that you set your buddy icon via the AIM options. Perhaps closing all instances of AIM and loading just one copy will solve this problem?

DeadAIM does have IM logging, it just doesn’t have chatroom logging.
DeadAIM 3 got released yesterday.
It has logging, cloning, tabbed IMs and other cool stuff.
Works with all versions of AIM 4.8 – 5.1
